Yes, it was scary. New year's day. Temp was about 5F, 20 mph winds. I was coming home from out of town and didn't have my tools. I ended up in the parking lot of a hardware store where I could buy tools and 5/16" hose to make the repair. I could only work for about 10 minutes until my hands froze and I had to warm up. At the time this car was new to me and I though that all the hoses had already been replaced. It turned out that the PO had left ONE hose alone because it was too hard to get to (short line from #1 to pressure regulator on a car with EGR.) It took me hours to cut off the old hose with the OE crimps and get a new one in there. That was one experience I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.... - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
