<x-charset iso-8859-1>Snap ring pliers are easiest (is that what Mark calls 'Jesus pliers', as in
'jesus, where'd that go'?), but fine needle-nosed pliers or maybe thin
tweezers would also work.  Some of the switches have an unscrewable shaft -
can't remember if the light switch does, but the hazard one certainly does.
If so, there will be a slot across in which you could insert a screwdriver.
Take care, the 'ring' is only soft metal (aluminium?).
