Does anyone manufacture aftermarket window and door seals? Will seals from other types of VWs work? Just wonderin' Joe Replacement rubber for the T-3 Ghia is generally so tough to come by that you will become discouraged and want to give up the restoration. But it's not impossible. First, the back window seal is the same as the windshield seal, with minor fixes. The back window seal ir relatively easy to come by from WCM. The door seals are used on a three-makes-two basis, as are the hood and decklid rubbers. The quarterpanel seals are the same as a T-1 Ghia (you've gotta be a believer, they do fit). The wing vent rubber is replaceable with 1970 bus rubber and cutting. The scrapers are the same thing as a 1967 Convertible bug scrapers plus one extra rubber piece so that the rubber will go all the way forward (it's about 1" short, but you can make a piece from a spare scraper rubber). Then, the rubbers that go between the windows and the rear quarterpanel are available on a three-makes-two basis. Obviously, you've got to be a semi-pro at making the rubbers fit. The only things that you can't replace are the horizontal rubber parts for the quarterpanels (about 2 feet long) and the two bumper rubbers that go on the front of the car.
