Congratulations James!  My offer to visit and help still stands...  I
would recommend Heckmann-Theimann on SE Powell, they've been around
for 30 years.  They would be the ones to do FI, alignment, brakes
etc.  That said, I also will chime in to try your own hand at
repairs.  There are several VW parts places around town.  I've found
Halsey Automotive on SE Halsey to have most parts, professional, and
good prices.  Remember your only going to find basic Type 3 mechanical
parts locally, unless it's shared with a b*g.  Otherwise, you'll need
to get some mail-order catalogues and use vwtype3.org.  As for the
interior, scrub it down and see what happens.  Your killing me here,
what did you get?
