You will be your best mechanic in the long run. Get the Bentley
manual and start studying. There are also listees in your area who
will probably be willing/eager to help. It will be hard to find someone
who still remembers our cars and how to work on them, and it will
always be true that NO ONE cares about your car as much as you
do.

It's your choice, but if what you have is original, I'd work hard to
preserve it. The one exception are the 72-3 seat covers. They will
almost always need to be replaced unless that's already been
done.

Ask here first. Good used OE parts are often better quality than
what you can buy new. Some parts will only be available used.
Remember the first rule of replacements is: Never throw away the
old part until the replacement is INSTALLED and WORKING
correctly. You should also ask here before replacing almost
anything, as there are some things that you really don't want to
part with; the OE dist cap plug wire ends are one example.
