<x-charset iso-8859-1>I've never seen an E model Notch. Do you mean that the 'S' license light chrome is replaced by one with an embossed 'E' or is the 'E' badge that we've seen stuck on top of the usual 'S" chrome? I would have thought that the E model notches had an early style license housing with no chrome but the E badge... The Canadian E squarebacks had had badging like so: http://members.home.net/shackedup/vw1500e.jpg Andre --------------------------------------------------------------- the '64 and '65 1500E notchbacks (or Type31) in Zambia had: Volkswagen 1500 E on the engine lid or rear boot and the 'E' was on the chromed number plate light cowl, while the 1500E Variants or (Type36) in Zambia had: Volkswagen Variant E on the rear door or hatch just as shown in David Orozco's picture.
