Been meaning to chime in here. First, there is a long discussion of fiberglass floorpans and other composite parts on my website if you want more information than I will give here. FIrst, I agree with most of the comments about fiberglass floorpans from other Listees. However, this is only true of the Innovation in Fiberglass floorpans and their recommended method of installation. The floorpans are of marginally quality and the installation recommendations are definitely not structural. That said, composite (fiberglass) parts can be made very structural and can be structurally integrated into a steel body structure. We have to be careful to not generalize that composites are bad and non-structural. It all depends on the design, manufacturing and installation of the composite parts. I will get off my soapbox now.....check out the composite page on my website for more information. Or come to the Invasion in Parma. I am planning on giving a workshop on composite materials and fabrication. Later, John Jaranson (Research Enigneer - Composite Materials) '71 FI Auto Fasty (Jane) '66 Squareback (???)
