Never, Never leave the parking brake on for a extended time. A trick I learned several years ago is to wedge a board, or what ever you want to use and push the clutch peddle down and wedge the board in between it and the seat, steering wheel , or? This will make the pressure plate force your throughout bearing back when you take the board out. I saw this work on a old truck that sat up for years. My Scirocco that I autocross a few times a year ( race only car) will do this too. So no parking brake and wedge the clutch...
