Both have 42mm pistons, so the braking is the same. The
mounting bolts are different sizes and the spacing between bolts is
different, so they can't be interchanged. I can rebuild your original
calipers and replace broken bleed valves, but it's lots easier and
cheaper just not to break them.

On both fronts and rears, one of the secrets of preventing the
bleeders from rusting up is to put the rubber caps back on the
bleed valves when you're done bleeding.

Late Type 3 rear cylinders are 22.2mm (7/8") and I don't think
anything else works right. I rebuild mine and I can rebuild yours,
too. Or you can learn how to do it yourself.

Lots of reasons. You also can't use one from a VW bus or a Ford
Taurus.

Of course. That's what I almost always do. In general, if I buy a
"new" type 3, I rebuild the rear cylinders on the car, swap in a pair
of rebuilt calipers that I have already rebuilt onto the front, and then
install silicone brake fluid. On my daily driver, The MC finally
started to leak 10 years after I did this. When I removed it to rebuild
I found that all the rubber parts were fine and that the bore just
needed to be honed to remove rust buildup from the mouth of the
bore.

I may have one, black or white? These commonly fail because of
people who can't help just tightening them a bit more....
