Hi, Does anybody know approximately how much ATF the Auto Box will take - I have drained both the box & the Torque Convertor completely - as far as I can work out from Haynes it should take about 6 litres. I will be starting the motor shortly, after it has stood (in a shed) for about 7 years. I removed & decoked the heads, took off the sleeves & cleaned up the rings & grooves while I had the platework off for painting. The engine is back in the car but still has the old oil in it. Should I start the motor on the old oil & then drain it when I have warmed it up, or should I drain & flush the motor first & fill up with new oil before I start ? The front brake caliper pistons are very stiff, also from standing. I have removed the calipers & forced the pistons back but am battling to get the to move freely (I had 100psi of air on them & they wouldn't budge). Any ideas as to how to free them up & how freely they should move ? - I thought the best way may be to put them back on the car & try to work them using the brake pedal, lever them back & follow this procedure until they come free.
