<x-flowed>I recently rebuilt my 69 squareback's engine (It's a relatively new 1600), and put it back in the car. I made detailed wiring diagrams to make sure I put all the wires back where they belong to avoid problems. Well, I've tried to start the engine twice now, and both times I've fried the wire that goes from the points to the condenser on the distributor (not vacuum type). After the first time, I tried to look for answers, and the guy who I spoke to said that i had the wire from the condenser on the wrong side of the coil(+). So I tried it again with new points and made sure the wire was on the - side (it was the first time too) and it fried the brand new wire. I'm confused and frustrated, if someone has anything that could possibly help me, I would really appreciate it, I really want to get this thing back on the road. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org </x-flowed>
