Well, I have a lesson learned story, too..
Years ago, back when I had my first VW, a 71 Ghia.. I was bending over my
engine for some un-rememberable reason.. I used to wear a martial arts
(unsharpened) throwing star as a pendant.... the tip of the star made
contact with the positive battery terminal, conducting electricity quite
well.. As with most electrocutions, you don't notice what is going on right
away, your fuzzy brain cells just know that something has gone plaid... So,
I looked down, saw sparks, and grabbed the pendant, burning a "Raiders of
the lost arc" style star pattern in my palm. Ouch.
