So you can get it into R, 1, & 2? And you've tried shifting around the shift plates? How about the orientation of the shift plates, I can never remember how they go (top to bottom, left to right), I always have to check my manual if I've lost the original orientation. If you've been all thru that, put the tranny in N, then pull the shift lever all the way out and reach down with your hand. Can you wobble the shift rod equally to the left and right?
