I use just a THIN layer of Red high temp RTV on the inside of the seal, slide it on and then the same on the outside. However... you cant doodle around and have the RTV set before you get the heads pulled down... so DONT do it on a humid day and have all your ducks in a row when you apply it. at 73K NONE of mine leak on the square.
