there are few things that i know you can do. get 90 degree pipe elbow and screw that in and put the sensor in teh end of that one pointing up. plug the hole with a pipe plug: the same thing they use to plug the outlet on full flow oil pumps. and use a t3 oilcooler w/ the hole for teh sensor. OR use the original sensor in teh standard type 1 location. Yo can bend the tin abit to fit. Just make sure teh sensor is in before teh tin goes on. i did it the other way (tin first) and boy was it a pain in the ass.
