This sounds promising. Purging the system with the key doesn't 
clear everything because it may take a lot of repetitions and it will 
not fill the injectors, either.

It should show 28-30 when the engine is running, but it should fall 
to ~20 within a few seconds of stopping the engine. If you have a 
gauge installed somewhere keep in mind that it and it's plumbing 
could be part of the problem.

If your gauge really never reads 0 when you get in the car, then my 
suggestion is not the right one, but if your gauge reads 29 all the 
time I suspect there is something wrong with your gauge.
