I agree that this is a bit wierd. Perhaps your coil wire is made from 
the carbon core resistance wire? If so, just replace it with copper 
core. Still, 6K Ohms will not cause any problems.

A bad coil would affect all 4 cylinders equally, so I think your coil is 
fine. You should check the dist cap inside and out for tracks or 
cracks, then check your valve adjustment and then the  
compression. If the compression is okay, then try new plugs.

Right now I would guess that your left head is loose.
