=> 15 miles or so, it really starts running rough. Was it running reliably up to a certain point? If it's always done this, I'd first check to see whether you have the necessary heat insulators at the carb/manifold connections. These are pieces of bakelite about 5mm thick, shaped like the gaskets. They're designed to prevent head heat from creeping up the intake manifolds and boiling the carbs. If this is a new problem, we'll need more info on what might have changed, and when.
