The excessive fuel cosumption of your efi system can be caused by vacume leaks, even around missing or cracked injector seals. The runners , the manifold back plate or the pressure sensor may have a leak too. It does not have to be a giant leak to affect this system and the closer the leak to pressure sensor the greater the fuel consumption. The starter injector may be stuck on or leaking. >From the oil symptoms you gave, it seems that lots of gas is pouring out of the injectors at a nice rate. You may also have one stuck open and leaks terribly when engine is on and the pump is pumping. When engine is turned off, the pump is off an the pressure slowly or quickly leaks off from the leaky injector. When you turn the switch on, the pump repressurizes the system and everything seems to work well. Check for all vacume leaks everywhere and place clamps on the intake runners to the manifold. Make sure your pressure sensor holds vacume for a minute (I suck with clean clamped hose to the sensor). Have your injectors checked. remove and plug the starter injector hose and see if anything changes. These are just ideas but a few of the guys on this list have experienced this before and may all give you different answers because causes are varied.
