To stick up for us guys with out the stock dual carb setup (or a working one) and wanting something new or different. Either its missing or not working, Thats the big reason why we keep thinking of other possibilities. Especially for me , I'm 3.5 hours away from my car and I'm getting very anxious to get her on the road again (major engine mishap last summer). All this time I've been thinking up new ideas, running engine spec combos through my mind (90.5 "B" x 78 with 5.4" "I" beams rods) new induction ideas like a sidedraft weber mated to teh stock FI intake runners, updating my rear end to IRS (maybe w/ narrowed trailing arms) Or any other weird combo i've read about. (sorry for the tanget) I have the possibility for FI, PDSIT, and Dual 34 icts on y car. The linkage on teh Pdsits were so worn i could never get them sync'd. So its find some better linkage (not easy) engineer new linkage (even harder) or try something different. Thats why i bough the 34 icts. But they had a small problem too. I kept lossing one of the scews holding down the crossbar mounting bracket on my right carb. Boy did that throw of teh sync. Had to limp my car home twice cause of that one! So now I'm considering the FI again wich is not in any good shape at all. Teh harness has been butchered and I'm not sure if all my components still work. So what are my other choices? Something new? A single carb setup. The only one i have ever seen is one for a progressive weber. I used that setup and didn't like it, cosmeticly and performance reasons. Now comes an idea for a sidedraft. If an adapter/manifold can be made it should fit. So why not? I agree that if the stock systems work then definately USE IT, but for alot of us it doesn't and we need to resort to something else.
