For those of you in >> drier areas do you find better notch cars than this? Hey Rob... You're in Tennessee? Where at? I know a guy here in North Alabama that has a very workable '65 Notch for sale. It needs pans and has the usual rust, but the car is pretty complete (no engine) and can be had for around $500. The seller isn't a close friend of mine or anything, but I have dealt with him in the past and he has always been fair. I just figured I would run that by you... One of the two cars you're torn between may be a better deal. Stephen Ayres recommended you keep looking and that sounds like the best advice. Your car is out there, finding it takes a little while. The cars you have looked at can wait while you explore other options. Despite the relative rarity of Notchbacks around here, they don't sell in a flash. Car 1 and Car 2 will probably still be for sale if and when you come back to them. If they aren't, it doesn't sound like you missed out on a whole lot. -- Mike T. 1964 1500S Notchback w/sunroof 1965 German spec Beetle 2000 New Beetle GLS ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
