Some people felt this was a little tense because of the traffic but the looks other people gave us was priceless anyhow. This was really cool. LEON MARTINEZ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Oh how I envy you guys and gals out in California - There's no action like that going on here in Kansas. Maybe if we could even find enough T3s, we could cruise thru the cornfields. :p I put my new muffler on finally. Had dual Thunderbird - went to single just because of the cost. The only frustrating part was the support tabs on the muffler didn't align with the support tab on the header pipes. It was off by about a quarter inch, so I couldn't just bolt it together. Was nervous just driving to get it welded because of the vibration and shaking cause it was a bit of gravel road to my uncle who welded it. Took it to get it licensed (still had the California Nov 2000 plates) - burned up most of the day Friday in the DMV, but as soon as I was done I washed and waxed my gem to get it ready to look our Sunday best for Easter cruisin. My husband doesn't quite understand the whole VW thing, but I think the priceless looks and when we stop at the stoplights and people holler, "Hey, great car!" will turn him to appreciate the rarity and beauty of the T3! Most people couldn't figure out what kind of car it was. I'm getting personalized plates that say 66 VWSB. My rear hatch signature emblem is missing. Does anyone have one. You'll were just talking about what was originally on the 66, but did we come to a consensus. Is it Volkswagen on top with a 1600 below or is it Type 3? The hole pattern on my hatch is three on top with two below that are basically centered under the top three. I believe the holes are at an upward slant, rather than straight horizontal like pictured on Carmody's 67 on ebay. Later volks, Diana '66 Square Overland Park (Kansas City) KS
