Getting ready to pull my engine I notice there is a lot of leaking going on around the transaxle. Most of the bottom is covered with an almost red oil from the front of the engine to the rear axle shaft. I didn't expect this. So, it looks like my simple long block swap wont be so simple after all. What are the usual suspects? Are transaxle leaks something a do-it-yerselfer can cure, or are they a sign of bigger problems? It's a 66 fastback that shifted great except that the pattern seemed loose (a long way between gears) with no defined feeling of a solid shift. It never hung up or made noise.
