Re: Neat car on Ebay

So what is it that makes a VW a Type 3? Is it only the engine? Are those
Type 3s that have had Type 4 engines installed now Type 4s? Is an early
60s Type 2 with a 1500 engine a Type 3? The car is a Brazillian VW
4-Portas c. 1970 and I think originally came with a Type 1 engine, but
is obviously based on/related to the Type 3. I'd be willing to bet that
many of the parts on the car have Type 3 part numbers.
