Does anyone have a set of new or good used wiper arms like the ones Jim refers to below? Please respond off line to norman.roush@compaq.com Thanks, Norman On 10 Apr 2001, at 9:30, Roush, Norman wrote: > It's the wiper arms that are floppy and it appears they are loose at > the shaft. I did the same thing on my 68 when it was new, except I used a hand file. The original set screw arms are just a bad design. > You mentioned replacement arms with a clamp set up. The later arms are the result of an official VW recall, for exactly this problem. They are official VW parts. Before you grind on your shafts you should check with the list to see if anyone has a good used pair. I don't think I do, but they are worth seeking out. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
