Some sources seem to feel that while the OFFICIAL HP remained the same, there were people who felt that the FI when it came out had more oomph than the dual carbs that it replaced. I can't help thinking that there is some possibility that much of the badmouthing of the OE FI comes from people who have never experienced one in proper running order. Along these same lines, I think it is only fair to point out that when we make engine fueling comparisons, this is mostly done between the OE FI and aftermarket carbs. There's a bit of apples and oranges there. If you want to compare the OE FI to something, the most appropriate thing to compare it to would be OE carbs. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
