If it's just a bit of smoke at start-up first thing and doesn't repeat or show smoky once started, it's most probably a bit of oil that's leaked into the cylinder when standing. You may even find it doesn't do it at all if you park level. My various a/c VWs all seem to do this at times, but not all the time. I wonder if the ring gaps in one cylinder all end up at the bottom occasionally and let a bit of oil sneak past for a time until they move a bit again. Dave.
