The real question here is WHAT wire is connected to that sensor. Can you read the wire # off the end? If you originally had the CSV you would have a whole mess of extra wires there, but you apparently don't. In that case I think you have the standard 68-9 FI harness which would have NO wire for a temp sensor. Does this wire look long enough to reach the starter soleniod? There is a wire that is supposed to go there.
