[T3] type 3 parts for sale

I have a few major items for sale that I have added to my regular
list.

1 pair of type 3 lower heat exchangers, used OE but excellent
condition. These are the 66-72 style with the fiber insulation on
them. Will fit all type 3s, exact replacement for 66-73. I will
replace any rusted insulation straps. The RHS one has the fitting for
the EGR valve, which is currently blocked off, but the blockoff plate
could be removed. $125 for one or $200 for the pair. The last time VW
had these, they sold for over $250 each!

1 pair of type 3 rear heat exchangers. Used but in excellent
condition. These are the little ones that get lost when people try
aftermarket exhausts. Very hard to find. Threads in good condition.
$65 each or $100 for the pair.

I have come across a limited supply of genuine Bosch electric FI fuel
pumps. While these were actually rebuilt by Bosch for VW, they look
new and I'm sure they are as good as new. These are the early style
pump as used 68 to mid-70 so they are an exact replacement for those
years. They will also fit and work in all later years, the hose
fittings just stick out in different directions. Limited supply: $50.

Late ('72) type 3 VW dual oil pressure relief valve case, good used:
This case has been align-bored +.020 with std thrust. It has 16 10mm
case savers installed, including 1 "deep sink", and it is drilled and
tapped for a full flow oil filter. This is a perfect foundation for a
slow careful rebuild. $250 includes main bearings for .010 reground
crank. Other parts to complete your engine are available at bargain
prices when bought at the same time, inquire.

Partial list of other VW type 3 parts available:

Early type 3 plastic seat rail slides, NOS limited quantity.
	1 pair for 1 seat. $40
	2 pairs for 2 seats. $75

Fuel injectors for all years, Bosch 0 280 150 007, NOS. If you have
replaced the hose on your old ones and one of them still leaks, the
only solution is replacement. Don't take a chance on an engine fire
as this will end up destroying the WHOLE car! $40, limited supply.

Fuel overflow hose for 68-early 72: 311 201 179A, NOS. This fits up
to when the filler cap changed to the long "threaded" cap and is the
part you need if you notice that gas spills down behind your RF tire
whenever you top up your tank or take a hard left turn. Failure to
replace this if broken--and they're always broken--will allow water
to be thrown into your gas tank when you drive in the rain. The
damage this can cause is much more than the cost of the part. $40.

Muffler for type 3 single carb engine: 315 251 061B NOS. This muffler
requires the separate small rear heat exchangers and has the special
heat riser pipe needed by the single carb. $60 for the muffler, $20
for packing/shipping. Only 1 available.

Specially modified Bosch 12V voltage regulator. This is a standard
Bosch part to which I add a diode which makes it last longer and make
less RF noise. It is NOT the electronic VR which I have been
promising to make for so many years; that is still "under
development." $35.

Other useful, but not specifically VW, items:

Bosch distributor cam lube: This is what you need to keep your points
rubbing block from wearing down. This is also the proper lube for the
FI trigger point cam. It's sticky and stays on the cam where you put
it. One tube will last a lifetime. $11/tube.

Dow-Corning Molykote G-n paste: This is the ideal antiseize for spark
plugs since it is non-conductive and won't foul the insulator. I also
use a dab of this burnished into each of the bearing surfaces when
rebuilding an engine. One tube should last a lifetime. $7/tube.
Several available.

Shipping on these is extra; the basic shipping charge is $5, heavy
items will cost more. I ship most parts USPS Priority Mail, but I can
ship heavier items by UPS.

I have many other items which are too numerous to mention, most good
used, some NOS. If there is something you need, please inquire.

Thanks,

-
