More cylinders doesn't give you "more" vacuum. The problem here is 
not one of quantity or quality. It is more a matter of when. The FI 
vac advance needs a vacuum source that provides none at idle, none at 
full throttle, and some at cruising. After that you can start to ask 
how much.

They are the same. Read the chapter on Ignition. The second page has 
a few advance curves. There's really a lot between the lines here to 
digest and understand. It's not all just spelled right out.
