[T3] ram air induction

ok, i have no heater boxes in my car
so i just block off my fan housing, but what if i ducted hoses from my 
housing to my carbs?

would that make more horse power?

i know i would get some cooler air to them that's for sure.....i also heard 
that having the housing blocked off creates turbulence and reduces the air 
that can get to the cylinders??

just a thought from most likely one of the biggest darksiders on the list,
