I found a 1500 notchback in the wrecking yard today and pulled off the
windshield and rear popouts. No scratches or anything and the rubber was in
really good condition. My notchback is a 69, not sure what year this was
but it was 6v and had the wraparound turn signals (mine are bullet style).
The popouts fit on great, is the windshield the same size or different? I
will go back for the rear window too if it fits. I'm sure no one else in
the city wants them and I'd hate to see them get broken.
Also the dash is cracked but better than mine. How do I remove it? I've
taken off the screws under the front trim plate and up by the windshield,
and removed the gauges but its in there firm. Is there one dash for all
years, or how does this work?
Finally, my speedo cable is broken. Are these available new, and are other
vw's compatible with the t3?
Thanks again
