6. I also need this question answered. The prior owner has hooked up this
switch, which I flip up to start the car and once it is started, I flip it
back. The kid told me it is a choke thing, there is no choke on fuel
injection as I am aware of. So what are they doing with this. I could not
trace it completely but it is ending up back by the distributor (spliced in)
? Any ideas, could it be the temp sensor? They are bypassing something I
think.

Yep, they probably have bypassed the temp sensor wit a simple on/off switch.
Had the same setup at my 73 square when I bought her. Only difference were
that I also had a reostat connected so the "choke effect" could be adjusted
during warm-up.
The temp sensor has high, about 1 KOhm resistance when cold and drops down
to nearly zero Ohms when getting hotter (Uh.. this might be the other way
around, but same thing happens... can't chek the manual right now) BUT, if
it is broken or not connected the car won't run or be very hard to start!
