[T3] 1964 Type 34
I got some 12-volt wiper motors for my Type 34 yesterday. The old ones froze
in the up position, and I don't know what the deal is. These wiper motors
were spares that
I had on a parts car in Longview. Normally, one is enough (fits both sides).
I don't know where the extra motor came from.
I was surprised that the A/C belt was working - so far. I had put a new
pulley on the
crank so that the car used a two-belt system. The A/C was still not working.
So I had
to get it looked at. Also, the electric door locks were not working. You had
to go to the right side of the car and push the button for it to unlock the
left door - pretty shoddy. The dash pad had broken again, and that frosted
me. I'll have to get it fixed again. Still not very good was the radio, which
does not want to play on AM stations.
And the light-wiper switch, which was messed up by Koch's in California. I've
had bad
luck with Koch's poor workmanship. Four steering wheels have gone bad on me
plus one set of push buttons for the Type 34. That doesn't say much for
Koch's. One steering wheel has gone bad the second time. I sent it back, but
it didn't do me much good.
