When hot, the fan is running a while after engine shut-off, until the thermoswitch (normally attached to the radiator) turn it off. Prolonged choke warmup like above should work great with a thermoswitch that breaks in a reasonable temp range/amount of time (maybe a time relay of some sort also could be hooked up?).
