Andrew, In my branch of the T3 religion, failure to check archives is eclipsed as a sin by failure to get the MANUAL(S) at the same time or before getting the car. Notwithstanding, I shsall share what I remember. It would have been in the early seventies when mine leaked. The T3 oil cooler is easier to get to than is the T1. It is quite differently configured. YES, the seals are different, and, yes, your leak has at least as high a likelihood of being worn out seal(s) as it does being a hole in the cooler, itself. If I remember right, it is a 10mm wrench job without much excitement, but that may have been my dreams! Cheer up, it could be the pushrod tube seals! Gene --------------Previous Message----------------- okay so i didn't check the archives on this one, but it's a quicky. is the oil cooler for a 70 t3 hard to find? are they the same as the t1? i'm guessing they are different, but hey i could be wrong. see my problem is that i'm leaking a slow leak from somewhere in or under the oil cooler. could this just be a sealing problem? or is it more likely the cooler itself? thanks andrew.p ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
