Seems I've just beat the crusher to a 69 notchback, originally from Victoria BC but petered out just west of Thunder Bay Ontario. Back in September I pushed it out of the bush and towed it back to Winnipeg. I now have one white automatic T3 but no mechanical ability to fix it. I was wondering if anyone in my end of the great white north might be looking for a winter project (or just somewhere to store it until spring). It's not running, so feel free to send along plenty of moral support in addition to any advice as to parts companies you may have. Also, some guy named Ranier seems to have "salvaged" the owner's manual before I did, outside of Thunder Bay. The website has a good chunk of a .pdf file, but it's incomplete I think. I'm looking for one for sale, a photocopy, or the rest of the manual to be put on the website. I can possibly arrange some strong beer in trade. By the way, the car has a gas heater, for which I'm very thankful. My old 73 Westy had a gas heater in the back, and i rigged up a dryer heating vent to blow the heat onto my driving foot so that at least one extremity (or part thereof) could thaw. That van started every day when it was -30 or so (without a battery blanket or oil pan heater), but I have to admit that when the heater died in mid-February my loyalty was tested.
