MY biggest gripe, and the question NOBODY has been able to answer to completion is the fact that to get the high idle that you need to keep it running cold your chokes must be TOTALLY closed and that makes it start and run too rich!! IF you adjust them so that they are *just* closed they will get sucked open a little when the vacuum comes up and you lost that high idle as soon as you hit the gas to back it out of the garage. There is NO good adjustment that i can find for proper operation when cold with the stock carbs. one of the MANY reasons I HATE CARBS!
