The other problem... The short explanation is the throttle does not return to the same position each time on my '70 stock FI Sqback. Therefore setting the idle is next to impossible. I believe that the shaft is worn, or the hole that shaft rotates in is worn. I tried putting an extra return spring on it and that only slightly helps the consistency. I can manually return it to the closed position but with a audible click. When I jiggle the throttle arm it will move up and down and side to side, not good. So what I was wondering, has anyone ever taken this a part? Or do those that might have the time to look at the micro fiche, is this assembly a pressed in job or is it rebuild able? There is a nut that I believe holds the throttle arm to the shaft but it doesn't look like the shaft is removal able. I know the shaft goes all the way over to the opposite side of the intake to rotate the throttle sensor. And when I remove that it doesn't look worn and I don't see anyway to remove the shaft from that side either. Thanks for any help in advance. Craig !----------------------------! ! Craig Woolston ! !
