That upper set of balance outlets on your manifolds looked very home-made, none of my manifolds have this setup, and all of my manifolds are not 73 only, the spares I have is from a 69 or so, and they are identical to my 73's, with the dual balance outlets. I guess the purpose of the balancing is to ensure smoother operation and possibly lower gas consumption and/or lower emissions a bit. I know that the engine doesn't run with the pipe accidentally detached (BTDT). PerL 73 Variant L ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
