> Has anyone had any luck having touch-up paint made? First, find out which is the best and most reputable paint store in town. a good way may be to ask the body shops where they go for paint and supplies. then, what i did, is I just went down there with my ash tray (the front of which was painted cleanly and was the same color as the rest of the car.) they have a computerized tool that looks at the color and gives the best match. you could even have them take this tool out to your car in the parking lot. this seems to be the best way (rather than give them the code) because not all stores mix the same code exactly the same way. i just got a little touch up bottle with brush for the nicks, but the spray can would work for the bigger stuff. i would recommend against the one with a white bottle on top of a clear glass jar. mine dripped badly. i think the better one is black plastic (brand?) and has a trigger style mechanism. you should probably prep the quarter sized dings with primer first so that the paint adheres better, and your color covers better. you can get primer in many colors now, so choose the one closest to your car color.
