Nathan gave a lot of good advice here, but I would like to add that I have never had any trouble with a Sachs (Fichtel & Sachs, F & S) spring center clutch plate. I have had cheap ones break springs, however. I don't thing Berg does anything special with the Sachs parts they sell unless you ask them to (like balancing them) but I do think that they are always careful to only stock parts that won't let you down. If you drive very competitively and hard, however, the solid disks are considered the way to go.
