This is probably the choke working correctly. If it settles down by itself every time and only happens when you start it cold, then it's definitely the choke. VW shops here in Melbourne suggested I go to a motor trimmer to get the dash re-covered - I never ended up doing that and it was a while ago, but I think it was in the order of $AUS 300 for the re-covering. > The car is badged a TSLE but I'm not certain if these are original > badges? Be careful of information about German-made VWs - our Aussie made ones are often a little different!
