i think i may have found the problem (maybe...?) to my idle hunting. wed. morn. i was heading to the office from school, when i heard i large "pop" come from the rear. followed by really rough running engine. i pulled over and looked to see what the problem was... one of my spark plugs had popped right out of the cylinder!!! well luckily my mom's house was about a 1/4 of a mile away so i drove on three to get there and had my sister run to the parts store to get a plug tool (i didn't have one in the car at the time.), and four new plugs. well i guess i learned a lesson in tightening my plugs down tight, (a very valuable lesson) luckily the plug didn't strip anything and i was able to put one back in the same cylinder. (lesson 1) friday i woke up and walked out to the street to hop in the car, but before i got across the street i felt a weird feeling overcome my body "i felt a disturbance in the force." i examined my baby... looked at the tires... all good... i got in the car and went to turn it on... turned the key... nothing ahhhh....! i had left the lights on since the previous overcast afternoon! (lesson 2) well today i actually had a fun trip. i took off from san diego with my sister and drove out into the mountains, tthrough sunrise highway and julian, if anyone is familiar with those places. i figure i put about 100-120 miles on it today, (my odometer and tripmeter both don't work). this was my longest trip so far. it was actually a pre-test for a trip 900 miles into baja california at the end of june to get some warm water waves. well anyways... happy driving! >>>instereo<<< '71 san diego square ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
