[T3] saga part II

70 FI squareback

Well, I checked out all of your suggestions which were very helpful. I
checked the temp sensor....everything was tight...the rubber boot that goes
over it was totally corroded away. I know this will cause a loss of cold
air, willl this create a problem. Anyways I also cleaned the trugger points
which were very dirty. Heres my problem though:
To clean the trigger points I removed the distibutor as suggested in the
Bently. No problem. I removed the little tray that contains the trigger
points...cleaned them...and reinstalled the tray...No problem. Then I put
the distrubutor back in the shaft and knew that My timing was going to be
off. I proceeded to hook up my timing light and turn the distributor till
the marks lined up with the pointer on the pulley....No problem. Now for
the problem. My timing is still off. While running my caMŠČluxuate
(hard to describe...you guys Know how it feels to have your timing off, its
like that) What have I done wrong. I lined up the mark on the pulley that
is just left to the three consecutive marks:

             \ \\\

what have I done wrong? I just completed installing new intake boots and
intake gaskets that same day, coould my problem be there? This post might
be vague, but that is the best way I know how to describe it.

GODS OF THE TYPE 3 PLEASE USE YOUR TELEPATHIC ABILITIES TO SOLVE THIS
PROBLEM
