To anybody in the area... The Michigan Vintage VW Club is holding its annual show this Sunday, May 16 at the VWUS headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. It's only a couple of bucks per person to get in, and entering your car in the festival (there's no competition) is about five bÖÂÃ so. I plan to be there with my togaweiss '69 automatic Squareback with roof rack (parked in the festival) and my red '70 seven-passenger red bus (parked at a swap meet space). If you're coming from (or passing through) the Ann Arbor or Plymouth areas that morning, join a caravan of locals! Here's our plan: > We're still a "go" for Sunday! First departure is from Arborland >Mall in Ann Arbor. If you're coming from the US23, take the 37B exit-- >that's WESTbound Washtenaw Ave, towards Ann Arbor--and you'll see the >tall Arborland sign w/ the digital clock. We're meeting at 7:30am right >at the base of the sign. Be sharp! > > We'll take US23 north to M14, and hop off at the Sheldon Rd. exit. >This exit pretty much dumps you right into the huge, empty parking lot of >a Ford plant.
