> How do I convert my 66 squareback (w/ single circut disk => brakes) to dual circut? What part do I need? >You'll need a dual-circuit master cylinder (best fit is ˇ>ì T3, but >I seem to recall I used one for a late Bug -- check me on that, Jim?), a >dual reservoir and some additional hardlines. The dual master will stick out ahead of the rock >shield, I haven't done anything about that yet. I just did this on my notch when I went to front discs. The late type3 master cylinder fits just fine, yeah you're gonna need a couple of new hard lines -- about the reservoir thing though....... I used my stock reservoir then went into a "T" over the master cylinder and then into it with new flexible silicone lines. Some have warned me of the dire consequences of doing this ( single reservoir into dual MC ) " you'll never know if one circuit or the other is going bad ahhhh !!!!!!! " I figure if I'm having a brake failure that's why Ferdinand gave us a parking brake handle ( you see -- all aircooled VW's --regardless of year had both hydraulic and cable brakes --- ;) Dan my65notch@aol.com ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
