I agree with Jim's assessment.  These things are for people who want to
win the best undercarrriage class at some show.  But as was pointed out
in a recent thread about these on the type2 list, these things are
often, if not always, not DOT approved, and you've got nobody to assure
their quality.  Also, if your brakes were to fail, and the other guy's
lawyer/insurance company spots those shiney suckers (which is the point,
right), you could be in for some trouble.
