I recommend a set of fog lights to substitute the lows when the highs are on. It depends of the state and looks of the car, of course. I have a set of fogs on my car, they are connected to the X connection on the ignition, so when the switch is activated (all the time) they function as DRLs, which are mandatory to use here in Norway. That way, I don't forget to turn on the lights, and don't get the embarrassing $40 fine for not having any_Ə on.
