All, Thanks for your comments on my question regarding using the Stock distributor on a FI converted to carburetion. My '69 has been stored in the garage for the winter and I plan to take it out of mothballs next weekend. I will let you know the result.... Just a short history of the carb conversion..... I purchased "JYʱ while living in Puerto Rico and ran into a problem with the FI. Due to a lack of parts the mechanic I was dealing with told me the best thing to do would to convert it to carburetion. I asked Jose how many times he had done this. "Oh....about 10 times". Ok, that sounded good to me. When I arrived after work to pick up the car I discovered that he had mounted a single Brazilian Solex ON TOP of the existing manifold by cutting a hole thru the engine access panel! Upon my eventual return to New York I decided to do it properly with the dual Webers. FYI.... USED PARTS I have used Steve's Recycling in Calif for many used parts and have been extremely happy with the quality of their picks. I put on an entire exhaust system from Steve's used parts. (no need for heat in Puerto Rico...I bought it with a J tube and muffler setup).
